After training as a nurse in the Millar General Hospital, London Mary completed post graduate study in Ireland, England, Scotland and the United States.
Her post graduate work includes psychiatry, psychology and working with army war veterans, and was conducted in Los Angeles, California. After working in the United States for some time, Mary returned to the West of Ireland, where she has since spent most of her nursing career.
Over the years Mary found herself frustrated with the limitations of conventional medicine, especially in the care of the elderly. Seeing one treatment lead to side-effects which necessitated the use of even more treatments she sought an alternative route and began to study homeopathy.
Mary graduated as a Homeopath at the Irish School of Homoeopathy in Dublin, and her post graduate study has included work in Maynooth, London and also in Bombay, India.
Mary's practice has acquired an extra dimension since she has trained extensively in both Dublin, London and Budapest on the revolutionary SCIO Bio-Feedback system. She has also studied widely, including other alternative and complementary therapies such as Reflexology, Iridology and Reiki.
Mary now practices Homeopathy and Bio-resonance in Enniscrone, County Sligo, as well as conducting occasional clinics in both Galway and Dublin. She takes a special interest in diet and food allergies, and having studied as a nutritionist, Mary is able to advise on the value of correct food and the use of food combining in everyday diet.
